Jinqing Cai is President of Kering Greater China, the group behind Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga. Since taking the role in 2018, she has worked to strengthen Kering's reputation and partnerships across the region and to drive the group's long-term development in China, as Greater China plays an increasingly significant role in the global market.

From 2012 to 2018 she worked at Christie's, where she was the first managing director of Christie's China before becoming its president and then chairman, and helped make it the first international auction house licensed to hold independent sales in mainland China. She still chairs Christie's Asia Advisory Board. Before that she was a founding partner of Brunswick Beijing from 2005 to 2012, and earlier founded New Alliance Consulting International, serving as exclusive public relations consultant to the Boao Forum for Asia.

Under Cai, Kering launched the Kering Generation Award with Plug and Play China in 2018 to back Chinese start-ups in sustainable innovation. She sits on the boards of Mandarin Oriental International and Xiaomi, serves as vice chairwoman of Teach For China, and in 2024 was named a Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Mérite by the French Republic.
