  • Description

Xiao Yang Bure is a Chengdu-based model, creator and fashion stylist whose personal style has become closely tied to a wider conversation around disability, beauty and self-expression.

After wearing a prosthetic leg for nearly two decades, Yang began collaborating with designers Xiaoyu Zhang and Min Li to rethink the prosthesis as part of fashion rather than something to conceal. The resulting decorative shells treated it as wearable art, turning a deeply personal experience into a visible challenge to conventional ideas of dressing and beauty.

Her work has since made her a distinctive voice within China's fashion community, bringing representation into the conversation without reducing her style to it.
