- Description
Zhuo Chen is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between modeling, photography and dance. As an international model, he has walked for Balenciaga, Burberry, Hermès, Issey Miyake and Calvin Klein, including Balenciaga's haute couture collections, bringing to the runway a physicality rooted in his training as a dancer.
His photographic practice runs in parallel. In 2021, he was named a finalist for the Dior Photography and Visual Arts Award, and his project Sometimes has been exhibited in Arles, Shanghai and Shenzhen. His images have appeared on the covers of Numéro China and Modern Weekly, often exploring the relationship between light, space and the human subject.
Chen works across London, Paris and Shanghai, operating between East and West and between disciplines fashion often keeps separate. Across both sides of his practice, the body remains central: at once subject, instrument and means of expression.
