Shouzeng Ye and Shawna Tao are the co-founders of ICICLE, the Shanghai fashion house that has built a distinctly Chinese vision of understated luxury around natural materials and long-term craftsmanship. They launched the brand in 1997 around the philosophy "Made on Earth," after both studied at Shanghai's Donghua University, and opened its first store on Huaihai Road in 1998.

Built on cashmere, linen, wool, silk and cotton, ICICLE now operates around 235 stores, about 230 of them in China, along with boutiques in Paris and Dublin. The company set up a design center in Paris in the early 2010s, acquired the French house Carven in 2018, and runs both brands under ICCF Group.

Ye was named a Knight of France's National Order of Merit in 2023. In April 2026, Kering took a minority stake in ICCF, and in September 2026 ICICLE appointed former Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno as creative director.
