Outdoor label Kailas (凯乐石) opened its first European store in Chamonix, France, on August 23, spotlighting its Fuga trail-running line. The site is Kailas’ first directly operated store outside China, marking a shift from product exports and athlete sponsorships toward localized operations in Europe. Founded in 2003, Kailas sells gear for mountaineering, climbing, and trail running through more than 300 sales outlets worldwide and works with 107 elite athletes. Opened days before UTMB, the store doubles as a “Fuga Basecamp” for athletes, runners, and locals, with more than 80 team athletes racing UTMB events. Kailas also debuted its Fuga Ex Pro G shoe at the opening.
