Saudi tourism pop-up opens at Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai

A pop-up tourism experience named “Saudi Land” opened on November 8 at the Oriental Pearl Tower square on the Bund in Shanghai, attracting large crowds. The immersive event, created by the Saudi Tourism Authority, runs until November 15. The over-1,000-sqm space features seven themed zones showcasing destinations including AlUla, Diriyah, and Jeddah. Activities include trying on traditional Saudi robes, Arabic calligraphy, and sampling Saudi coffee. Major Chinese travel platforms including Tuniu and Meituan offer exclusive travel packages covering visas, flights, and hotel stays. Saudi Arabia has implemented e-visas that can be processed within minutes.
