Peter Zhong and Chris Wang co-founded Nowre, the youth culture media group that has become one of the most direct routes to China's streetwear and sneaker consumers. Launched in 2014, the online magazine anchors a portfolio that includes the women's streetwear title NowHer, the quarterly Within and the Chinese edition of outdoor lifestyle magazine Go Out. At the end of 2025, the group counted more than 6 million followers across its social channels.

In 2017, the pair added CreateNow, a content agency handling campaigns, partnerships, production and events. It has worked with more than 100 clients, among them Arc'teryx, Burton, Adidas Originals, Salomon and New Balance.

Their routes into the business were different. Wang began in 2004 as one of the earliest team members at Yoho before moving to Wieden & Kennedy Shanghai and later founding PR agency Horizon. Zhong came from the retail and marketing teams at Nike and Converse. Together, they have built an ecosystem that sits directly inside China's streetwear and youth-culture conversation.
