Levi Strauss launched its new Revel line in August earlier this year. The high-end line for female consumers is made with "new compression technology" for better fit. Revel, like its 2010 precursor Curve ID, which allowed customers to choose from three body types: slight, demi or bold, is a step in the right direction when it comes to cracking the more petite Chinese market. At $98-$128 a pair (pre-VAT), Revel is definitely a luxury item and will be competing with the wildly popular Uniqlo jeggings (leggings made to look like jeans) that also stress comfort and fit, at a fraction of the cost.
