Spanish fashion brand Desigual has opened a 160-sqm standalone store at Shanghai’s Taikoo Hui, expanding its China retail network to nine locations in less than two years. The space features a recent capsule with London-based designer Masha Popova alongside items created exclusively for China. The opening follows 113% YoY sales growth in China during 2025. Desigual entered the country in 2022 through a joint venture with local partner E-Shine and plans to add 60 stores in major Chinese cities, targeting 40 million euros ($42 million) in local sales by 2027.
