Chinese outdoor brand Outopia secures Series B funding

Chinese outdoor performance brand Outopia has successfully closed its Series B funding round. The investment was led by Meridian Capital, with participation from Challenjers Venture, Ventech China, and Shunwei Capital. The amount of the investment was not disclosed. Notably, Shunwei Capital has now backed the company in three consecutive funding rounds. Founded in 2021 in Shanghai by former lululemon executive Aaron Jackson and former LVMH Asia-Pacific executive Alexis Hou, Outopia targets the next-generation professional outdoor market, starting with trail running gear. The brand is known for its technical merino wool apparel. The company operates with an international team spanning China, New Zealand, and Australia.
