Multiple Audi dealerships have closed or suspended operations across Chinese provinces including Henan, Guangxi, Beijing, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, due to declining sales and profit margins. In January 2026, Kaifeng Jin’ao Audi dealership allegedly closed, leaving customers unable to use maintenance packages purchased for 16,800 RMB to 18,800 RMB ($2,400 to $2,700). The dealership withdrew from the FAW-Audi network on November 13, 2025. Audi’s 2025 China sales fell 5% YoY to 617,500 units, marking the second consecutive year of decline. FAW-Audi sales dropped 6.7% YoY to 570,100 units despite claiming the top spot in China's gasoline-powered luxury car market.
