Official government documents referencing the introduction of “top-tier luxury department stores” have been interpreted by local media as a likely nod to SKP. This aligns with Guangzhou’s previously stated goal of attracting the retailer. Leaked architectural renderings of the site also show design elements consistent with SKP’s signature style. If confirmed, SKP’s arrival would significantly alter Guangzhou’s retail landscape, which has long been dominated by TaiKoo Hui.
