Shanghai Disney Resort to build fourth themed hotel

Shanghai Disney Resort announced plans to construct a fourth themed hotel, positioned as the closest property to the park’s main entrance. The new hotel, along with additional retail and dining venues, follows the milestone of welcoming its 100 millionth guest since opening in 2016. According to the Themed Entertainment Association’s 2024 report, Shanghai Disneyland maintained its position as the world’s fifth most-visited theme park and China’s top performer, drawing a record 14.7 million visitors last year. The report credited the “Zootopia” land, which opened in late 2023, for contributing to this growth.
