The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 list crowned Hong Kong’s Rosewood Hotel as the world’s best, making it the first Chinese property to claim the top spot. The hotel also secured “Best Hotel in Asia,” rising from No. 3 in 2024. China’s presence strengthened significantly with four hotels in the top 50. Beijing’s Qianmen Mandarin Oriental debuted at No. 14 and won “Best New Hotel Award,” becoming the first mainland China hotel on the list. Hong Kong’s The Upper House slipped to No. 10, while Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong entered at No. 41. The Peninsula Hong Kong and Four Seasons Hong Kong placed at No. 54 and No. 86 respectively.
