Henkel Consumer Brands (HCB) officially assumed full operational control of the Vidal Sassoon haircare business in Greater China on July 1. The move covers all shampoo, conditioner, styling, and treatment products under the brand, following Henkel’s acquisition of Sassoon from Procter & Gamble earlier this year. The transition marks a key step in Henkel’s strategic expansion in the Chinese market, enhancing its portfolio that already includes Schwarzkopf and Shiseido Professional. Henkel confirmed that Sassoon’s product manufacturing will be localized at its Suzhou Bocao factory.
