Mexico overtakes Russia as top Chinese car export market
From January to April 2025, Mexico overtook Russia as the largest overseas market for Chinese passenger cars, with exports reaching nearly 150,000 units, up 24.3% YoY. The UAE also saw strong growth at 58.5%, while Russia’s exports fell 46.8% amid rising import barriers and geopolitical tensions. Chinese NEV exports showed sharp regional contrasts.
