Several Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers reported strong sales for November, including BYD, which achieved a record 506,804 units sold, up 67.9% YoY, though sales were relatively flat compared to October. Xpeng also hit a record 30,895 EV deliveries, while Zeekr’s sales grew by 106.1% to 27,011 units. However, Li Auto and Nio saw slight declines in deliveries compared to October, with Li Auto’s sales dropping 5.25% and Nio’s falling 1.9%. The China EV market remains competitive with ongoing price cuts, including Tesla’s November discount on the Model Y and increased incentives from BYD, Li Auto, and Nio. Despite strong sales, concerns linger about a protracted price war and its impact on profitability.
