Estée Lauder’s Jane Lauder steps down as digital chief

Jane Lauder is stepping down from her roles as Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President of Enterprise Marketing at Estée Lauder by year-end, ending her active operational involvement in the family business. Her departure leaves Stéphane de la Faverie as the sole candidate likely to succeed CEO Fabrizio Freda, who will retire in 2025. Lauder, granddaughter of Estée Lauder, was previously co-leading a profit recovery plan for ELC, which has faced ongoing investor pressure due to struggles in its post-pandemic recovery and dependency on the Chinese market. Although Lauder will remain on the board, no family members will be involved in day-to-day operations, despite the family’s significant voting control of ELC.
