Chow Tai Fook hits 7,000 stores, sees gold sales spike
Chow Tai Fook has achieved its goal of 7,000 stores two years ahead of schedule, having opened approximately 3,000 stores in the past two to three years, a company exec recently revealed. In the future, Chow Tai Fook will focus more on store management efficiency and provide differentiated resources for stores in different regions. Despite geopolitical tensions driving up gold prices, there remains strong demand for gold products. In the first quarter of FY 2025, the revenue share from gold products priced in mainland China rose significantly to 16%, up from 6% in the same period last year. The staffer also noted that the decline during this year’s National Day Golden Week was narrower than expected and attributed this to recent economic policies aimed at boosting market confidence. He anticipates that the group’s business will gradually improve in the third and fourth fiscal quarters.
