AliExpress launches global sales program for Korean sellers

AliExpress, the cross-border e-commerce platform under Alibaba Group, announced on September 25 that it will launch a global sales program next month to support Korean sellers in cross-border direct sales. Sellers in the K-Venue for Korean products on the platform will be able to sell their products simultaneously in Korea and overseas. The sales regions will include the US, Japan, France, and Spain, with plans to gradually expand the range. Initially, the product categories will focus on cosmetics and fashion, before gradually extending to food and K-pop-related products. AliExpress will also offer sellers five years of waived store opening and transaction fees, as well as free translation services. The global sales program aims to promote Korean products to 150 million consumers worldwide and is expected to engage in intense competition with local e-commerce platforms in the cross-border direct sales market.
