Audi partners with Huawei for smart driving tech in China

Audi plans to enhance its models in China with Huawei’s smart driving system, starting with the next-generation A5, which will debut at the Guangzhou auto show in November and launch at the Shanghai auto show in 2025. This move aligns with Audi’s strategy to phase out gasoline models by 2026. The company’s new EV series will not feature the four-ring logo and will use batteries from CATL and ADAS from Momenta. Huawei’s smart driving technology, recently showcased in the Stelato S9, will also be adopted by BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao sub-brand for the Bao 8 model.
