Jack Wolfskin closes US operations, eyes European, Asian markets

German outdoor gear brand Jack Wolfskin announced on August 13 that it will end its operations in the US and close its retail website there. This decision is part of the brand’s strategy to refocus resources on the European, EMEA, and Asian markets, where sales have been relatively strong. Jack Wolfskin expects a rebound in sales in the fourth quarter of this year despite the US market withdrawal. Notably, in the first half of this year, the brand signed Karen Mok as a spokesperson, reflecting its intention to strengthen its localization marketing in China and highlighting that, following its exit from the North American market, China has become its largest overseas market.
