Hong Kong-based cosmetics retailer SaSa International (莎莎国际) expects profit attributable to owners for the six months ending September to exceed HK$150 million ($19.1 million), nearly triple the HK$50.2 million ($6.4 million) recorded a year earlier. Based on a preliminary review of its accounts for the five months ended August, the group attributed the expected increase to YoY growth in same-store sales, transaction volume, average transaction value and items per transaction across its core Hong Kong and Macau markets. B2C online sales and profitability also grew rapidly. SaSa said the forecast is preliminary, with full interim results to be announced later.
