Dior will present its Cruise 2028 collection in Shanghai on May 14, 2027, marking creative director Jonathan Anderson’s first major event in Asia. Dior is the first major French luxury house to announce its next Cruise show. Anderson follows former creative director John Galliano, who staged a Cruise show in Shanghai in 2010. Founder Christian Dior named a key look “Shanghai” in his Spring 1948 haute couture collection. Recent events in the city include the Pre-Fall 2021 runway at the Long Museum (龙美术馆) and a Miss Dior exhibition at Fosun Foundation (复星艺术中心) last year. The show comes as luxury brands seek to revive China growth after a two-year slowdown.
