Trip.com swings to Q2 loss on antitrust penalty

Trip.com Group reported Q2 2026 net revenue of 15.7 billion RMB ($2.34 billion), up 6% YoY, with international platform revenue rising more than 50% and inbound travel revenue growing at a high-double-digit rate. Accommodation revenue rose 6% to 6.6 billion RMB ($984 million), while transportation revenue fell 1% to 5.4 billion RMB ($805 million). The company recorded a net loss of 2.4 billion RMB ($358 million), mainly due to a 5.2 billion RMB ($775 million) antitrust penalty from China’s market regulator; excluding the penalty, net income would have reached 2.7 billion RMB ($402 million).
