Rolex will mark the 100th anniversary of the Oyster, the world’s first waterproof wristwatch with the “Oyster Story” exhibition, which runs June 10-28 at Shanghai’s West Bund Dome Art Center, featuring collectible timepieces from brand archives and private collectors, including precision components shown publicly for the first time. A “Superlative” zone details Rolex’s updated 2026 certification standards, adding tests for magnetism, reliability, and sustainability. Highlights include an optical atomic clock experience and portraits of 100 representative wearers. Rolex has also launched centenary models, including the Oyster Perpetual 41 with “100” engraved on the crown and “100 YEARS” on the dial. The exhibition traces the Oyster’s evolution since 1926.
