New data from Sensor Tower reveals TikTok’s global monthly active users (MAU) surpassed 2 billion in Q1 2026, a historic milestone, as fellow Chinese platforms Temu and Shein reached 530 million and 440 million MAUs, respectively. TikTok Shop’s 2025 gross merchandise volume (GMV) reached $64.3 billion, a 94% YoY increase, according to Momentum Works. The US remains the largest single-country market at $15.1 billion in GMV, while Southeast Asia more than doubled its regional total to $45.6 billion, cementing its role as the platform’s primary growth engine.
