Pop Mart faces US ban risk over prohibited cotton in Labubus

A New York Times investigation found that clothing on certain Labubu dolls contains cotton from Xinjiang, banned in the US. Testing commissioned by the Campaign for Uyghurs and independently verified by the Times identified Xinjiang cotton in 16 of 20 dolls purchased from Amazon, eBay, Shein, and directly from Pop Mart, spanning the “Fall in the Wild” and “Flip With Me” lines. Pop Mart said it would investigate its supply chain and seek alternative materials for the US market. Companies found in violation of the ban risk a blacklist barring all their US imports.
