Ferragamo appoints former Estée Lauder CEO as adviser

Salvatore Ferragamo’s family holding company has appointed former Estée Lauder CEO Fabrizio Freda as special strategic adviser, sending shares up as much as 1.6% in early Monday trading. Freda, who led Estée Lauder for nearly 16 years before retiring in 2024, will advise on strategy, structure, and operational efficiency — and help identify a new CEO, a position vacant for over a year since Marco Gobbetti’s departure. Ferragamo Finanziaria, which controls 54.3% of the Florence-based group, said Freda may also join the board in the future.
