An Italian court has ended the special administration imposed on a Valentino unit over labor practices at the brand’s Chinese-owned subcontractors. In May 2025, the court placed Valentino Bags Lab under one year of judicial administration for subcontracting production to Chinese-owned firms that exploited workers. The early conclusion follows Valentino strengthening governance safeguards and introducing a more targeted supplier qualification process. Valentino said it “welcomes the decision by the Court to bring to an early conclusion the judicial administration measure.” The brand is controlled by Qatar-backed Mayhoola, while Kering holds a 30% stake.
