Chanel’s Le19M to expand craft exhibition to Shanghai
Chanel’s traveling cultural program La Galerie du 19M will stage its third international stop at Shanghai’s Museum of Art Pudong, running September 25 to November 15. Occupying the entire third floor of the museum, the program spotlights Chanel’s specialist ateliers in dialogue with Chinese and French craftsmanship. A highlight is a retrospective celebrating the centenary of embroidery house Lesage, founded in 1924. Le19M — established in 2021 and home to over 700 artisans and 11 maisons d’art — previously toured Dakar and Tokyo.
