Audi is restructuring its China and North America leadership as German luxury automakers navigate intensifying competition. Daniel Weissland, who led Audi U.S.A.’s largest-ever model rollout, becomes GM of FAW Audi Sales on April 1, replacing Michael Arndt. Vito Paladino succeeds Weissland as president of Audi USA and head of Audi North America. Matthias Schepers becomes Audi China’s VP of sales and marketing from June 1. The moves complete a leadership overhaul among Germany's luxury trio: BMW appointed Christian Ach as China president and CEO on April 1, while Mercedes-Benz installed Daniel Lescow as president and CEO of Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service on Feb. 14.
