Chow Tai Fook inaugurated its first Southeast Asia store in Bangkok’s Siam Paragon shopping center. The jewellery retailer is diversifying beyond its domestic market to counter slowing consumer spending and intense competition at home. The Thailand debut serves as a pilot for regional expansion. Vice Chairman Sonia Cheng reported “strong momentum in Southeast Asia” for international growth. The company plans to open its first stores in Australia and Canada by June and enter the Middle East within two years.
