Chow Tai Fook announces third price hike of 2025

Jewelry retailer Chow Tai Fook will raise prices for some fixed-price gold products on December 19, its third increase this year following adjustments in March and October. The company cites rising international gold costs. Previous hikes ranged from 10% to over 30% for popular items. This round, most products are expected to increase 4% to 15%, though some collections may exceed 30%. A ~20g gold chain will rise from 36,600 RMB ($5,150) to 40,600 RMB ($5,720), and a 51.49g ornament from 89,800 RMB ($12,650) to 95,800 RMB ($13,500). On December 17, spot gold traded at $4,327.18 per ounce.
