The UCCA Center for Contemporary Art announced on Monday that Director and CEO Philip Tinari will leave his post before the 2026 Lunar New Year. He will be succeeded by Kong Lingyi as CEO and Guo Xi as Deputy Director. Tinari will join Hong Kong’s Tai Kwun Cultural and Arts Company as Deputy Director and Artistic Director in February 2026. Tinari joined UCCA in late 2011 and oversaw its expansion from a single private museum into a four-venue, non-profit institution. During his tenure, UCCA presented over 150 exhibitions and grew its annual attendance to over one million visitors. Their appointments signal a shift toward collaborative leadership following Tinari’s departure.
