BMW cuts China prices by up to 24% on 31 models
BMW China adjusted retail prices for 31 models effective January 1, 2026. Cuts exceed 10% for 24 models, with some reduced by over 300,000 RMB ($42,000). The flagship electric i7 M70L dropped from 1.899 million RMB ($265,000) to 1.598 million RMB ($223,000), while the entry-level 225L M Sport now starts under 300,000 RMB ($42,000). The strategy follows an 11.2% YoY decline in BMW’s China deliveries for the first three quarters of 2025. Chairman Oliver Zipse stated BMW does not expect rapid sales growth in China for 2026-2027.
