France’s New Year's Day honors list awarded several fashion and luxury industry figures. Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Women’s Artistic Director since 2013, was named Knight of the Legion of Honour for his contributions and elevated artistic standing. Ralph Toledano, Chairman of Victoria Beckham and former FHCM President, was promoted to Officer of the Legion of Honour. Three women received Knight of the Legion of Honour: Céline Brucker, General Manager of L’Oréal France; Nathalie Célia-Kock-Chevalier, Managing Director of Bucherer France; and Diana Widmaier Picasso, co-founder of jewelry brand Menē.
