Chanel to restage Matthieu Blazy’s Métiers d’Art in Seoul

Chanel will restage its 2026 Métiers d’Art show in Seoul on May 26. The collection, designed by newly appointed Artistic Director Matthieu Blazy, premiered December 2 in the abandoned Bowery subway station in New York. The New York show adopted a cinematic setting, attracting figures from film and music, and featured a short film directed by Michel Gondry. This approach reflects Chanel’s intention to position Métiers d'Art within a broader cultural context rather than solely emphasizing traditional craftsmanship. Seoul has been a significant market for Chanel for over 30 years. The brand opened its first fragrance boutique there in 1992.
