Chanel has announced that its next Métiers d’Art show will take place in New York on December 2, 2025. This marks creative director Matthieu Blazy’s first Métiers d’Art presentation since joining the house and serves as a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s final Chanel show, which was also held in New York.
The choice continues Chanel’s long-standing relationship with the city, dating back to Gabrielle Chanel’s first transatlantic journey. Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel’s fashion division, said, “I am delighted that Matthieu Blazy has chosen New York for his debut Métiers d’Art show. The creative energy of the city resonates perfectly with Chanel’s exceptional craftsmanship.”
Launched in 2002, the Métiers d’Art series celebrates the artisans behind Chanel’s signature details — embroiderers, feather and flower makers, pleaters, milliners, shoemakers, and metalworkers — upholding the brand’s commitment to preserving and advancing traditional craftsmanship since 1985.
