Porsche will shut down all its self-operated charging facilities in China as part of a strategic realignment in the world’s largest EV market. The German luxury automaker’s self-built charging network will gradually cease operations starting March 1, 2026, affecting about 200 charging stations. “As market conditions evolve and user charging habits continue to change, Porsche regularly evaluates the role its charging services play,” the company stated. China became Porsche’s largest market in 2015, with sales peaking at 95,671 units in 2021. Amid rapid automotive electrification and domestic luxury competition, Porsche announced plans earlier this year to reduce its sales network to about 100 locations by 2027.
