Chanel will present its 2027 Cruise collection in Biarritz, France, on April 28, 2026, marking Creative Director Matthieu Blazy’s first cruise show. The choice highlights Chanel’s historical ties to the coastal town. In 1915, founder Coco Chanel opened her first couture house there at Villa de Larralde. In 1919, she debuted collections in Biarritz designed for vacationing clients — the precursor to modern cruise shows. The resort inspired her to introduce sportier, relaxed designs. Chanel is restoring Villa de Larralde and sponsors the Biarritz Film Festival.
