Facing significant financial pressure, Shiseido has launched a major global reorganization of core functions, set for January 2026. The restructuring centralizes sustainability, creativity, and digital/IT operations, involving eight top executives. A new Sustainability Strategy Division elevates sustainability to a central pillar, while an Art & Creative Division consolidates creative resources. The most extensive change creates a Global Digital Division unifying strategy, IT, and business transformation. The overhaul follows a severe downturn: the company forecasts a record net loss of 52 billion Japanese yen ($336 million) for 2025. The reorganization implements Shiseido’s 2030 strategy, focusing on digital transformation and sustainability while promoting China-based creative leads to global roles.
