Snow League skiing competition debuts in China with Eileen Gu

The Snow League debuts its freestyle skiing competition December 4-6 at Genting Snow Park in Chongli, China, a 2022 Beijing Olympics venue. Sixteen athletes, including Olympic champions Eileen Gu (China), Cassie Sharpe (Canada), and David Wise (U.S.), compete in halfpipe. The event marks the league’s second stop following Aspen snowboarding competition last March. Twelve of 16 skiers are Olympic medalists. Competition features head-to-head, best-of-three format through quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals. A $580,000 prize pool splits between China and the March 2026 finals in Laax, Switzerland. Each athlete will receive a $5,000 appearance fee per event. Founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White.
