China ski tourism surges 50% as winter season opens

As ski resorts have gradually opened, the popularity of “snow and ice tourism” has surged. According to data from Ctrip, searches for “skiing” on the platform have increased by 50% week-on-week in the past week, and the search interest in ice and snow travel products has continued to rise into December. Since mid-November, bookings for ski group tours and packaged independent travel routes have doubled compared to previous weeks. Harbin remains the top destination for ice and snow tourism searches, followed by Changchun, Shenyang, Xuexiang, and Mohe.
