French fashion house Balmain has officially announced the appointment of French designer Antonin Tron as its new creative director, succeeding Olivier Rousteing, who departed earlier this month. Tron’s debut collection for Balmain is scheduled to be presented at Paris Fashion Week in March 2026. In a statement, Rachid Mohamed Rachid, chairman of Balmain’s parent company Mayhoola, said that Tron’s design approach combines craftsmanship with artistry and will bring new creativity and a spirit of elegance to the brand. Tron founded his own label, Atlein, in 2016. He is renowned for his mastery of pleating techniques, sensual tailoring, and knitwear designs.
