LVMH to open major China stores in December

LVMH is set to open major stores in China in December and is considering further expansion as luxury brands see early sales rebound signs. Four LVMH labels — Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany, and Loro Piana — will open multi-story stores in Beijing’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun this December. The conglomerate is in talks with Swire to open a new Dior store in Shanghai’s HKRI Taikoo Hui, potentially opening in 2027. The expansion comes as China’s luxury slowdown shows signs of bottoming out. LVMH returned to growth in Q3, while Kering reported a smaller-than-expected sales decline. A 1,579-sqm Louis Vuitton store opened in HKRI Taikoo Hui in June, helping the mall double Q3 retail sales.
