Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx opened its first Arc’Loung concept store at the Peninsula Beijing. The “departure store” combines retail with the brand’s ReBird repair and recycling workshop, plus a lounge area. More than half of the 300-sqm store is dedicated to non-retail functions, allowing visitors to purchase gear, access maintenance services, and use the lounge for rest and exchange. The concept follows Arc’teryx’s “destination stores” in Shangri-La and Beidahu, aiming to reflect urban consumers’ growing appetite for outdoor lifestyles and provide a cultural hub within the city center.
