Demna, the newly appointed Creative Director of Gucci, has announced that his debut runway show for the brand will take place in March 2026. As a result, the originally scheduled Gucci Spring/Summer womenswear show in late September has been cancelled. In a statement to the press, Demna explained that he needs “more than two months to develop a vision,” adding that he wants to “let the public know what Gucci really stands for.” He was appointed Creative Director of Gucci in March 2025 and assumed the role this month.
