Japanese luxury fashion brand Sacai has opened a new store at Shanghai’s Plaza 66, with founder Chitose Abe appearing in person to mark the occasion. The store’s design was created in collaboration with Japanese artist Gelchop, blending raw materials like mortar and wood with reassembled vintage furniture, Persian rugs, and illuminated panels to create a contrast-rich, modern-retro environment. The Shanghai location also introduces two capsule collections, including an exclusive line designed specifically for the new store that incorporates elements inspired by the city.
