Pop Mart has established a film studio and is set to launch its first animated series, Labubu and Friends, with plans to develop feature films in the future, according to National Business Daily. The move signals the company’s intent to strengthen its content production capabilities alongside its existing theme park and merchandising efforts. Pop Mart founder Wang Ning confirmed the studio’s creation, and records show that Beijing Pop Mart Cultural and Creative Co registered the copyright for the first-season script of Labubu and Friends in March 2025. Founded in 2010, Pop Mart is China’s largest pop culture and designer toy company.
